Waarom passen mijn onderdelen niet? (We hebben het allemaal wel eens meegemaakt. Je hebt uren besteed aan het minutieus ontwerpen van twee in elkaar grijpende onderdelen in CAD. In de digitale wereld glijden ze in elkaar met de soepelheid van een Zwitsers horloge. Je drukt op \u201cafdrukken\u201d, wacht 12 uur en ontdekt dan dat je twee onderdelen functioneel aan elkaar gelast zijn of, erger nog, rondslingeren als een hotdog in een gang.<\/p>\n

Welkom bij de realiteit van productie.<\/p>\n

In tegenstelling tot de digitale wereld is er bij fysiek 3D printen sprake van hitte, smeltend plastic, uithardende hars en microscopische laserbreedtes. Materialen krimpen als ze afkoelen en machines hebben fysieke grenzen. Om succesvolle onderdelen te ontwerpen, moet u het volgende begrijpen toleranties<\/strong> en vrijgaven<\/strong>. Laten we de cijfers ontcijferen zodat je nooit meer met een hamer op je prototypes hoeft te slaan.<\/p>\n

    De benchmark: Wat is een \u201cgoede\u201d tolerantie?<\/h2>\n

    De uitdrukking \u201cgoede tolerantie\u201d is volledig afhankelijk van de technologie waarvoor je betaalt. Van een desktop printer die plastic lijm extrudeert kun je geen precisie verwachten die geschikt is voor de ruimtevaart, maar je kunt wel kan<\/em> verwachten van hoogwaardige industri\u00eble harsmachines.<\/p>\n

    Opmerking: Voor grotere onderdelen (meestal alles groter dan 100 mm of 4 inch) wordt de tolerantie meestal berekend als een percentage, zoals \u00b10,2% van de totale afmeting.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Tolerantie vs. doorgang: De parkeerplaatsanalogie<\/h2>\n

    De grootste fout die klanten maken is dat ze deze twee termen door elkaar halen.<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Tolerantie<\/strong> is de foutmarge van de machine. Je hebt hier geen controle over. Zie het als de werkelijke grootte van een parkeerplaats die door een aannemer wordt gegoten. Als de blauwdruk 9 voet breed aangaf, maar de aannemer tolerantie<\/em> \u00b11 voet was, kan de ruimte 8 voet of 10 voet breed zijn.<\/li>\n
    • Opruiming<\/strong> is de opzettelijke opening die je maakt tussen twee onderdelen. Het is 100% in jouw handen. Zie het als de extra ruimte die je nodig hebt om je autodeuren te openen zonder de auto naast je te raken.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Als je een pin van 10,0 mm ontwerpt die in een gat van 10,0 mm past, dan heb je een 0,0 mm speling<\/strong>. Vanwege de tolerantie<\/em>, zou de pin 10,2 mm kunnen zijn en het gat 9,8 mm. Resultaat? Ze passen niet.<\/p>\n

      \ud83d\udee0\ufe0f Klantgerichte ontwerpregels: Hoe garandeer je een goede aansluiting<\/h2>\n

      Vertrouw niet langer op geluk en begin met ontwerpen voor het productieproces. Als je wilt dat je onderdelen meteen perfect passen, gebruik dan deze standaard spelingrichtlijnen in je CAD-software:<\/p>\n

      1. De \u201cperspassing\u201d (speling: 0,1 mm \/ 0,004 inch)<\/h3>\n

      Gebruik dit als je twee onderdelen in elkaar wilt zetten en ze nooit meer uit elkaar wilt halen. Er is veel kracht (of een rubberen hamer) nodig om ze aan elkaar te koppelen. De wrijving houdt ze permanent bij elkaar.<\/p>\n

      2. De \u201cSlip Fit\u201d (speling: 0,2 mm \/ 0,008 inch)<\/h3>\n

      Dit is de \u201cGoudlokje\u201d-zone voor de meeste 3D-geprinte behuizingen, schuifdeksels of verwijderbare haringen. De onderdelen schuiven soepel in elkaar met een bevredigende klik, maar ze wiebelen niet en vallen niet uit elkaar als ze ondersteboven worden gekeerd.<\/p>\n

      3. De \u201closse\/bewegende passing\u201d (speling: 0,4 mm \/ 0,016 inch)<\/h3>\n

      Als je print-in-place scharnieren, tandwielen die moeten draaien of assen ontwerpt, heb je een losse passing nodig. Dit garandeert dat kleine krommingen of laagjes er niet voor zorgen dat de onderdelen tegen elkaar schuren.<\/p>\n

      De waarheid over 3D printen<\/h3>\n

      Als je \u00e9\u00e9n advies meeneemt, is het dit: Interne diameters (gaten) krimpen.<\/strong> Als een printer een cirkel van heet plastic of gesmolten poeder trekt, trekt het materiaal natuurlijk naar binnen als het afkoelt. Een gat van 5,0 mm meet in werkelijkheid bijna altijd 4,7 mm of 4,8 mm.<\/p>\n

      • Pro-tip:<\/strong> Als je gat bedoeld is voor een cruciale schroef of paspen, ontwerp het dan in de vorm van een druppel om steunconstructies te vermijden, of ontwerp het gewoon iets te klein en haal er na aankomst een standaardboor doorheen. Dit garandeert elke keer een perfecte passing van \u00b10,0 mm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        De basis voor uw budget<\/h2>\n

        Strenge toleranties zijn duur. Een tolerantie specificeren die geschikt is voor de ruimtevaart voor een eenvoudige plastic presse-papier is een geweldige manier om je R&D-budget op te blazen.<\/p>\n

        Ontwerp slim. Gebruik een standaard aanname van \u00b10,3 mm (\u00b10,012 inch), bouw de juiste spelingen in uw CAD-bestanden in en laat de 3D-printers het zware werk doen.
