Als u genoeg tijd doorbrengt met ingenieurs, machinisten of 3D printbureaus, dan hoort u de woorden nauwkeurigheid<\/em>, precisie<\/em>, en tolerantie<\/em> alsof ze precies hetzelfde betekenen. Spoiler alert: dat is niet zo.<\/p>\n

Als je deze termen door elkaar gebruikt, is dat een goede manier om verkeerd te communiceren met je fabrikant, te veel te betalen voor je onderdelen en te eindigen met een prototype dat niet past.<\/p>\n

Laten we deze drie concepten uit elkaar halen in gewoon Engels en de klassieke \u201cdartboard\u201d-analogie, zodat je met vertrouwen onderdelen kunt bestellen die echt werken.<\/p>\n

Belangrijkste opmerkingen<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Nauwkeurigheid<\/strong> de roos raakt. (Heeft de printer het formaat gemaakt waar je om vroeg?)<\/li>\n
  • Precisie<\/strong> steeds exact dezelfde plek raakt. (Is de printer consistent, zelfs als hij er een beetje naast zit?)<\/li>\n
  • Tolerantie<\/strong> is de aanvaardbare speelruimte (hoe ver van de roos kunnen we landen en toch het spel winnen)?<\/li>\n
  • De Gouden Regel:<\/strong> Je hebt niet altijd maximale nauwkeurigheid en precisie nodig. Als je deze te hoog specificeert, gaat je budget er alleen maar op achteruit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \ud83c\udfaf 1. Nauwkeurigheid: de roos raken<\/h2>\n

    In 3D printen, nauwkeurigheid<\/strong> verwijst naar hoe dicht het uiteindelijke fysieke onderdeel bij de exacte afmetingen van het digitale CAD-bestand ligt.<\/p>\n

    Stel je voor dat je pijltjes gooit. Als u op de roos mikt en deze raakt, bent u nauwkeurig. Als u een kubus ontwerpt die precies 10,0 mm (0,394 inch) breed moet zijn en de 3D printer produceert een kubus die precies 10,0 mm (0,394 inch) breed is, dan is de printer perfect nauwkeurig.<\/p>\n

      \n
    • De vangst:<\/strong> Bij 3D-printen gaat het om hitte, smelten, uitharden en afkoelen. Materialen krimpen. Perfecte nauwkeurigheid bereiken bij de eerste poging met een gloednieuw materiaal is ongelooflijk moeilijk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \ud83d\udd01 2. Precisie: De kunst van consequent zijn<\/h2>\n

      Precisie<\/strong> (ook wel herhaalbaarheid genoemd) is iets heel anders dan nauwkeurigheid. Nauwkeurigheid meet hoe consistent een 3D printer de exact hetzelfde resultaat<\/em> keer op keer.<\/p>\n

      Terug naar ons dartbord: Stel je voor dat je vijf dartpijlen gooit en ze landen allemaal in een kleine cluster... maar ze zitten vast in de linkerbovenhoek van het bord, nergens in de buurt van de roos. Je bent zeer nauwkeurig<\/strong>, maar vreselijk onnauwkeurig<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      Als je je 3D printer vraagt om een kubus van 10,0 mm (0,394 inch) en hij print vijf keer achter elkaar een kubus van 9,8 mm (0,386 inch), dan is de machine ongelooflijk nauwkeurig.<\/p>\n

      • Waarom precisie beter is dan nauwkeurigheid:<\/strong> Ervaren fabricageprofessionals zullen je vertellen dat precisie eigenlijk de heilige graal van 3D printen is. Als een machine precies is (consequent exact evenveel fout), dan kun je je CAD-bestand eenvoudig schalen met 0,2 mm (0,008 inch) om dit te compenseren. Boem, nu ben je allebei precies en<\/em> nauwkeurig! Als een machine constant willekeurige maten uitspuugt (onnauwkeurig), kun je dat niet verhelpen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        \ud83d\udccf 3. Tolerantie: De aanvaardbare speelruimte<\/h2>\n

        Tolerantie<\/strong> is de realistische erkenning dat perfectie niet bestaat bij productie. Het is de toegestane foutmarge die je vaststelt zodat een onderdeel nog steeds goed functioneert.<\/p>\n

        Zie tolerantie als de grootte van de bullseye zelf. Als je een informeel spelletje darts speelt in een caf\u00e9, is het een acceptabele \u201ctolerantie\u201d om ergens op het bord te raken. Als je meedoet aan een wereldkampioenschap, is je tolerantie microscopisch klein.<\/p>\n

        Bij 3D printen wordt tolerantie uitgedrukt als een plus\/min bereik. Als u een afmeting definieert als 10,0 mm (0,394 inch) met een tolerantie van \u00b10,1 mm (\u00b10,004 inch), vertelt u de fabrikant dit: \u201cIk accepteer elk onderdeel dat tussen 9,9 mm (0,390 inch) en 10,1 mm (0,398 inch) meet.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

          \n
        • De Gouden Regel van Tolerantie:<\/strong> Strengere toleranties kosten meer geld. Als je een tolerantie van \u00b10,05 mm (\u00b10,002 inch) eist voor een eenvoudige plastic presse-papier, gooi je geld uit het raam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Het klantgerichte oordeel: Heb je het echt nodig?<\/h2>\n

          Dit is het meest waardevolle advies dat je vandaag zult krijgen: Betaal niet langer voor precisie die je niet nodig hebt.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Hoogwaardige industri\u00eble machines staan bekend om hun hoge nauwkeurigheid en hyperprecisie. Maar als je het vraagt, \u201cWat is de absoluut hoogste nauwkeurigheid die ik kan krijgen?\u201d<\/em> is de verkeerde vraag.<\/p>\n

          De juiste vraag is: \u201cWat is de minimale tolerantie die dit specifieke onderdeel nodig heeft om te functioneren?\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

          Als je een snelle, visuele mockup van een nieuwe koffiemok print om te zien hoe het handvat in je hand voelt, heb je geen microscopische nauwkeurigheid nodig. Een slordige, goedkope FDM-print voldoet prima.<\/p>\n

          Bewaar de strikte toleranties, hoge nauwkeurigheid en dure precisie voor in elkaar grijpende mechanische assemblages, snap-fits en productieonderdelen voor eindgebruik. Ontwerp slim, specificeer uw toleranties logisch en uw 3D printbudget zal u dankbaar zijn.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
